  This review is for Patricia Perry, MD, not at her private practice, but at Sutter Gould in Modesto, CA where she works 3 days per week. Doctor has acknowledged that she is out of treatment options with me, but is refusing to refer me for a second opinion to a doctor who can help to resolve my issues by failing to follow up with my message to her office. Told me to take doxycycline knowing that I have already tried a stronger tetracycline, minocycline, as well as a lower dose of doxycycline, Oracea, and tetracycline. I have also tried cephalosporin, Bactrim, and Azithromycin. Salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and Retin-A. Am seeing no results on fifth round of tetracyclines, and after requesting a referral to a different doctor I have received no follow up. I literally have a voicemail of her telling me that she is out of options for my case, yet here I am fighting to get a referral from her to a new dermatologist. As a doctor, she is kind and easy to talk to. If she could treat my issue, I would gladly continue seeing her; however, she has told me her options are limited at the Sutter Gould in Modesto, CA, so I expect to be referred to somebody who will end the suffering I have dealt with having adult acne for two years now.

  Worst experience with a physician of my 50-year life. Doctor was unsmiling and brutally brusque in my two appointments. Chided me for not scheduling a skin exam and said my general physician should do them every year (??? isn't that why I went to her, but no, I didn't ask for the exam and never got one). Did a biopsy and promised me results in a week. After I made three phone calls, receptionist said there was "mix up" with the lab results. Nearly two weeks later, Dr. Perry finally called me (no apologies, mind you, for putting me thru agony and for late test results). And the result? Beneign (thank goodness). I will not be returning to or recommending Dr. Perry to anyone. Side note: Receptionist was friendly, but was listening to her iPod (not very professional).
